MLB needs to find a better ambassador than Keith Olbermann. He daily insults the people who love the game, who fill major and minor league stadiums every summer night. His presence as a representative of America’s Pastime diminishes a truly great American game.

# # #

There have been media personalities who have been vilified for making an off-hand comment. Mr Olbermann insults, and I use that word conservatively, the very people who are fans of our national pastime every weekday night. I’m sure you can find someone with a sincere love for the game and its millions of fans than a person who regularly and voluntarily defiles them.

# # #

>All that and he brings absolutely nothing to the party. Keith is at best a Saul-Alinsky-wannabe, uses ridicule to distract from fact and relevant information. If it were not for Keith’s blatant and obvious penis envy associated with Bill O’Reilly driving this hateful little boy Keith would have nothing much to talk about. Other than baseball.

# # #

Baseball needs to stay out of politics. Thoughts of boycotting All-Star game in AZ…pathetic….MLB stay far away from this, and Olbermann

# # #

If the NFL got rid of Rush for his public statements, wanting to distance themselves from his stands and opinions, while MLB continues its relationship with KO then I can only reason that MLB stands by and supports KO and his opinions.

# # #

I oppose the politicization of sports in any form. Olby is just the most glaring embodiment of that perversion at this particular time.

# # #

I completely agree with this idea. Olbermann is a hate-filled man who disparages the very people who love baseball.

# # #

It’s bad enough that the NFL/NBC chooses to associate with this imbecile. I hope that MLB has better sense than the NFL/NBC to partner with this clown, implying that MLB agrees with his political blatherings. Keep Olbermann out of baseball for the sake of this great game!

# # #

Mr. Olbermann is a hate-filled man, an a perfect example of what divides America. He should not be associated with th game I love.
Go Twins!

# # #

>Dear Sir:
Mr. Olbermann is to baseball what Michael Vick is to football. An odious presence that can be survived, but, in actuality, one that should be eliminated as soon as possible.

# # #

Keith Olbermann and his hate-filled diatribe has no place in baseball.

# # #

Lets keep politics out of sports. This is the one chance we get not to be bombarded with politics. Keith is an extremely polarizing figure

# # #

Baseball is a tradition not only in this country but in my family as well. As a great institution that brings together all Americans regardless of political party or ethnicity, having a commentor such as Olbermann is divisive and sullies the Great American Pasttime. I ask that Major League Baseball disassociate itself from Keith Olbermann.

# # #

I a huge Cubs fan and the idea that MLB is willing to be associated with someone as hateful as Olbermann is very disturbing to me. Please reconsider this association.

# # #

I love the game of baseball. It transcends politics inside the diamond. Bringing Olbermann into it violates the sanctity of the field. It is a sad thing.

# # #

Olbermann is the ultimate hate monger – he is horrid, violent and should not be involved in MLB, which is a family game.

# # #

I find him to be irritating, disrespectful, and obnoxious. As another petitioner stated, when he comes on, the game goes off.

# # #

Baseball is an American sport enjoyed by the entire family, mixing it with this man’s history of hatred is not American.

# # #

If I spoke or acted – as a part of my job – with similar hatred for my fellow Americans as does Mr. Olbermann, I highly doubt even our community’s Little League group would want to have anything to do with me. Mr. Olbermann’s words speak volumes about a sickness and anger that is festering inside him and it is a shame that MLB condones this societal illness by continuing a relationship with him.

# # #

This man slurs and smears at least half of baseball fans every night. He is an embarrassment and should be limited to his political hate-speech on political outlets.

# # #

I have been a loyal Philadelphia Phillies fan as well as a Chicago Cubs fan for almost ALL of my 54 years. Because I do NOT wish to be associated with a biased man such as Keith Olberman, I will now only attend the local AAA team, the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs. IF you choose to rectify this “oversight”, I will once again resume taking my family to support MLB in person. Thank you Keith Mann

# # #

Hate filled rants in a political arena is a given any more. But now that MLB has seen fit to hire this angry racist I have one more reason to not support a past time that has become more about business than ethics, hard work, and teamwork. Perhaps the lack of my $50 at a game isn’t important to MLB…so I’ll give it to my local Tea Party instead, where I know it’ll be appreciated by Americans more interested in important matters, like the Constitution.

# # #

Keith Olberman is a vile, mean, hater. There is no way I would associate his temperment or views to be in line with our traditional American values. He hates me–what I love, what I value, who I vote for. I am disappointed that he is now a face of the baseball league. If I see him or see his writing, I will immediately turn him off. I hope the baseball league will reconsider having this unpleasant jerk in such an important position.

# # #

Keith Olbermann is a purveyor of hate and his presence on mlb.com denigrates baseball on the whole. Please disassociate yourselves from him as this will improve the sanctity of the sport !

# # #

Until this man is removed … I am removing myself from supporting anything this man is a part of.

# # #

I am a member of a family which is full of beautiful, talented, caring conservative women who love our Detroit Tigers with a passion. I am proud of each one of them as they battle the stereotypes often labeled by Mr. Olbermann as stupid, uniformed, Sarah Palin types. We take our families to the games because that is what we love to do. It truly is the great American pastime. I urge you to dump Olbernann, he only represents a small minority of the people, but his political rants effect the majority.

# # #

Keith Olbermann is by far the most bigoted, race-baiting, hate monger I have ever heard. His nightly tirades are a disgrace. In no way should someone with such an awful attitude towards so many of his fellow human beings be allowed to represent Major League Baseball in any way.

# # #

I am commenting not as a Republican or Democrat, Im signing this petition as a life long Major League Baseball fan. I find Keith Olbermann to be a repulsive human being. I cannot bear to look or listen to him in any format muchless baseball. Im sure there are many qualified individuals besides this angry man that could fill his position and Major League Baseball could then be proud of the person representing them.

# # #

Keith Olbermann engages in vicious hate speech and I feel he should not be associated with Major League Baseball in any way. It is an embarrassment and an outrage.

# # #

I am concerned that Keiths mental state is overwhelming his ability to be a rational voice in baseball. His racist comments about sportsmen of color is also quite alarming.

# # #

My family has loved baseball for years. Keith Olbermann seems to think he can insult us and others like us without repercussions. Allowing him to represent baseball at any level is an affront to both the game and the fans who love it.

# # #

It must work both ways..if conservatives must abide by their ‘hate speech’ (deemed as it is) when it comes to sports then we and the world of baseball and sports in general must hold liberals to the same standard. “Keith O. has to go…”

# # #

The NFL refused Rush Limbaugh because of his views, which are mild in comparison, but MLB has a hate speech purveyor as a representative. I will not visit your site until this situation is rectified.

# # #

Please remove this hateful person Keith Olbermann from any association with the grand American game of Baseball.

# # #

Please take politics and hate speech (Mr. Olbermann) out of the great game of baseball. Also if MLB boycotts Arizona, my friends, my family and I will be forced to boycott MLB. Both boycotts would be bad for all involved. Watching baseball is far better than reading about it after the fact.
